You’re consulting with reproductive specialists from Western medicine to Eastern, adoption agencies and surrogates; Facebook groups and chat rooms are your home away from home.
One in eight couples have difficulty getting pregnant or sustaining a pregnancy. It can feel lonely and scary and sometimes you just can’t bring yourself to pick up the phone and call your mother or sister or best friend one more time. You worry that they’re all tired of hearing what’s next, what you’re reading or thinking or planning to do this time. The next time. Or, it’s just not your style to talk to your friends and family. You feel shy or embarrassed and you don’t want anyone to know that life isn’t perfect. Life isn't perfect.

Intended Parent Consultations
Intended parents are encouraged by their doctor and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) to attend counseling prior to an egg or sperm donation procedure. Counseling includes the exploration of complex social issues and feelings that may be hard to voice. This counseling session is a place to discuss your concerns, and is not a test you must pass. .
Intended parent consultations are 60 - 90 minutes and cover topics recommended by the ASRM. A brief report for your physician or clinic is included in the fee.
